Easter vibes are always welcoming, aren’t they? Kids eagerly wait for Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, with lots of excitements, looking forward to yummy treats, colorful Easter eggs and much more. Easter holidays are always challenging for parents but this year, due to pandemic, lockdown is an imperative truth that has dimmed the joy.

For some Easter is more than just a holiday, it’s a symbol of faith and belief. But most look forward to Easter as a springtime holiday! Doesn’t it feel good to start summer days with happy vibes?

Unfortunately, the Pandemic outbreak has gravely affected our daily routines and because of it, the social distance became inevitable. Easter this year may not be like a regular one but vibes are still in the air. Of course, keeping the social distance intact, preparations must go on for the family.

“Nothing is as beautiful as spring”

Easter is in the air! No Quarantine Can Ruin Your Happy Vibes

Despite lockdown, and being stuck at home, it's not that bad. Look at the bright side, you can spend quality time with family and make video calls to friends. Also, there are several things you can plan to spend a unique Easter time within the safe walls of your home.

Egg coloring is fun

A common tradition among many families is to dye Easter eggs. A family tradition that even adults love to participate in, is what makes family time more joyous. Because of the lockdown and shortage of supplies, finding fresh eggs may be hard, so you can switch them for Styrofoam eggs. Why waste fresh eggs when food supplies are already short?

You can dye the Styrofoam eggs all you want and use them for decoration or crafting. You may think that dyeing fresh eggs is safe but remember not every dyeing tool if food-safe so it’s better not to take any risks. You can order these artificial eggs and it will be delivered to your doorstep. Disinfect them and then let the crafting begin with your favorite most colors.

Egg scavenging hunt

Scavenger hunting is always the best part of the Easter holiday right? But do you think setting ids loose on a playground with other kids to find dotted eggs is a good option?

If you have enough space inside your home or even have a backyard, you can hide the decorated eggs and tuck them inside a drawer, behind the curtains under the table, etc. if you think this will get messy an alternative is to make paper sheets, draw eggs on them, color it and tape the paper eggs into the window side facing the street. You can give a call to your neighbors so they can do the same!

Who said communication will stop because of quarantine? Use your creative mind for Easter celebrations. You can even keep the necessary distance and exchange your bunny baskets or eggs! Even Crissy Teigan exchanged her banana bread for romaine lettuce as exchange barter, when grocery stores ran short, with one of her Twitter followers. And do you know how they kept a safe distance? John Legend used his kid's remote control car to exchange the items! You can see the video on Crissy's Instagram post.

Improvise with Easter baskets and gifts

If you are a control freak and always plan ahead of time, then there's no nuisance about it, but like the majority, who weren't looking forward to a lockdown a sitting idle in their homes. Easter baskets may sit idle on the shelves in stores, but the risk is not just worth it.

With a tight hand on the pocket, it's better to kick in DIY styled baskets and it’s fun too. How about if you tuck Easter treats with Styrofoam dyed Easter eggs in a homemade Easter basket? Sounds good right? you can place one on the outside of your home entrance with lots of glitter and decorations, a basket filled with wishes, candies, eggs, and colors!

So what if you are unable to go to stores? A homemade basket is the best time you can spend with kids. You will be surprised how creative a kid can be. It's real bonding time, so all dads you might as well just step in and create beautiful Easter memories.

Easter dinner time!

Each family has different traditions. But one of the oldest traditions is a family meal. It is an understood fiesta, everyone loves to go to grandma's home and her mouth-watering recipes are the best. but due to social distance, home meal it is. But hey! No need to make a sad face, you can always prep an easy-to-go meal with full nutrition.

Because of a shortage of grocery supplies, it's best to keep your Easter meal less ostentatious. You do not need to cook a multi-course meal. As they say, charity begins at home, so it's best to prepare a simple meal that can last to serve a dozen mouths at least. You can serve the food and offer them to homeless people.

Or you can plan a small surprise; order a meal in advance from any of the available restaurants that are currently open, so they can prepare your order in advance.

Adjust your high expectations back to earth

It's a serious situation in the outside world. Kids are smart these days, they understand more than they let it in. those of you who are working from home, this is the right opportunity to spend with your kids and let them understand the severity of the conditions instead of giving in to their demands.

If you go to a church service, as a collaborative effort all can contribute to install digital tools for the Sunday mass. Besides this small effort, follow the instructions set by government authorities, it's not a joke!

It’s better to plan some interesting quarantine Easter games, such as monopoly, scrabble, a bunny hop race or watch animated movies! With an optimistic approach make up your mind to plan a fun Easter at home.

Conclusion

Pandemic timing couldn't get worse than this but never lose hope. Easter time is supposed to be enjoyed with loved ones, and you are lucky to be at home with them rather than being in the hospital. Count your lucky stars. Happy Easter everyone!
