Like I said before, there is no such thing as over-communicating. However, there is indeed a thing as good communication. Always try to keep your clients informed on matters related to the company. Also, keep the clients in the loop with things that will concern them.

Send Little Gifts

It is always a gesture of good will when you send little things to your clients. For example, if you have a big clientele base in marketing industry, you can send them a book on marketing. Or you can even send some little goodies like a Mug with your company logo, a notepad or key chain. These are little things, but they matter to your clients and makes you connect with them.

Listen To Your Clients

How many times your wife or girlfriend complained that you do not listen to her? Well, your clients are just like them in this regard. You need to listen to them, hear what they are saying and try to implement their advice in to your business.

Stay Honest With Them

The best way to achieve a great relationship with your clients is by being honest with them in every single matter. If something is achievable, let them know, if not, let them know. Trust us. Most of the times, being honest with them from the get go is the best way to approach any matter.

Say Yes, But Learn To Say No

Providing your clients with everything they need is great for the business, but you need to stay realistic. If you can do the requested job, great, do it. But if it is not possible for you, say no right from the beginning. It is okay to try, but you need to be realistic and have other clients to satisfy, so don’t be afraid of saying no.

Last, But Not The Least!

Stay polite. You cannot expect the clients to be happy with you if you are not polite with them. Always stay courteous with your words and tone. Use the words “kindly”, “please” “regrettably” etc. in your sentences to keep the politeness in check!
