Have you ever watched the movie Avatar? And wished you had the opportunity to experience virtual reality, which allowed you to explore your wildest imaginations, and turn them into reality?
Reality Is Not Far Away
This reality is not far away. Facebook has just announced that it will be rebranding itself to meta from now on. Meta encapsulates the metaverse. A world that is beyond the real world and allows the users to experience reality as avatars.
What's Possible In The Metaverse
It's a place where people can hang out and meet their friends. They can go on dinners and meet their favorite celebrities. A person living in a third-world country can have the chance to visit some of the most beautiful countries in the world and meet foreign people. This is what Mark Zuckerberg envisions.
Medium of Communication Is Changing
There is no denying the fact that the medium of communication is changing. There was a time when people used to send messages. And then that changed when the world of emojis was introduced.
And now the Metaverse has allowed people to communicate with each other through the medium of videos and graphics.
Experts claim that there is no ending to the possibilities that a person may experience in Meta. It's just a matter of time.

If you divide the word “Metaverse”; meta means, denoting something of a higher or second-order count and “verse” represents the word “universe”. Hence, Metaverse is a word that signifies a world beyond the one we are living in.
The Concept of Metaverse Is Prone To Evolve With Time
However, it is also important to notify that there is not one singular and fixed definition for the metaverse. The fact that it is a contemporary notion and is evolving makes it obvious that changes in the definition are inevitable. Hence, it would be unwise to confine it to certain words and sentences.
Multilingual Experience In Metaverse
With the advancement that is being made in artificial intelligence, scientists are claiming that a real-time translation system will be developed in a metaverse that will allow people to talk to various people from around the globe without ever having to worry about the language barrier.

And the important thing over here is to realize the fact that Facebook's owner Mark Zuckerberg claimed that they will be a real-time universal translator that will be able to provide translations to people within the metaverse in any language that they want to.
This will be possible within this lifetime, hence, you will not have to wait for another five to ten years. It is just a matter of months, as claimed by Mark Zuckerberg. Mark Zuckerberg described this technology as a revolutionary step toward human social interaction.
Instantaneous Interaction
Facebook was just a platform for people to communicate and socialize with each other. Whereas, real-time translations in the metaverse will act as a superpower that will allow people to instantaneously talk to Native Indians in their local language, for instance. And that is something that would not have been possible without the metaverse.
Accessing Information Online In Local Language
The aim of human civilization was always to reduce language barriers. Hence, communication between people could be much easier. And the great thing about this technology is that it would allow people to access information online and that too in their local language
Communication In Preferred Language
The artificial intelligence projects that are being conducted now in meta-universe will allow people to communicate in their preferred language, without assistance from professional translation services and without spending hundreds and thousands of dollars. It would be a matter of a click, and any language that he or she wants to communicate would be available to him.
Creating Conversational Avatar
Artificial intelligence would allow people to create their own conversational avatar that will communicate on behalf of them in the language that they want to. This would create more immersive worlds and encapsulate the depth of virtual reality in the true sense.
Inculcating Human Expression
And the future of these artificial intelligence-based avatars would be that it would just not be about vocal expression, rather they would adapt the human expressions as well.
This would include all of their facial expressions plus the adequate body language movement that is necessary to convey the message. All of the nonverbal communication skills would be instilled in the artificially intelligent-driven avatars.

The most important thing over here is that this conversational-artificial intelligence avatar would not be synthesized and manufactured. They would act naturally as human being acts.
It would not be over the top, it would not be fake, rather, it would give an honest and humanistic approach to the conversations that take place in the real world.

In order to accomplish this task, the Metaverse would enable a diverse range of digital expressions. Hence, the person that wants to communicate can choose the best expression that would be suitable to what he's trying to communicate to the other person.
No Need For A Language Mediator
Previously, when people contacted and communicated with another person who spoke a different language, there was always a mediator or an intermediary that was used to assist in building an efficient communication system.
But with the advent of artificial technology and multilingualism in the metaverse, they are actually no limits to how people may be able to interact with each other.
As the number of metaverses increases, the number of ways to communicate with each other will also increase. Some people may argue that it is a digital world, but even though it is a digital world, the interactions between human beings would be as real as they are in the real world.
Social, Economic, And Commercial Activities Will Be Real In The Metaverse
Hence, the social interactions, and economic, and commercial activities that will take place will be real, but they will be enabled in a digital world and community. It would be easier for localization and translation to take place, considering the fact that the real world would not be separated from the digital world.
Localization Would Be Quality-Centric
With the advent of the Metaverse and the evolutionary process of technology within the metaverse, it will become a platform where different brands and companies would be able to compete more effectively. And the process of localization would be more quality-oriented.
Because one needs to understand that localization is not just a simple translation of words from one language to another, rather it is the adaptation and the integration of the cultural nuances and intricacies within the sub-contexts of the conversations. Henceforth, brands will be able to localize their content in such a way that it becomes almost real for people to interact with each other.
Inculcation of Cultural Dynamics Within Live Conversations
Initially, people can differentiate between cultures from one region to another. And it was easy to identify the differentiation of language given the territorial boundaries in the real world. On the contrary, in the Metaverse, language barriers would be removed and communication would be enveloped in the cultural dynamics.
Hence, the localization would enable products and services to cater to the niche and specific needs of the individuals. This would make a deeper connection with the audience. The game of localization and translation would completely change in the metaverse, and it would become better from now.

No one can predict the future that the Metaverse may bring. However, there is one thing for certain, i.e, Metaverse will change the way human interaction is done in the digital space.
