Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization has launched a project that encourages Persian translation. Now Persian books will be translated into multiple languages. “Based on the new project, all interested foreign translators and publishers will have a discount of 30 to 70 percent in collaboration with ICRO,” said Ebrahimi Torkamaan, the ICRO Director.
He is inviting foreign translators and publishers to come forward and work on these Persian books and spread Persian literature all over the world. They have chosen “books on Islam, science, Persian fiction, Sacred Defense and Iranology” to be translated in different languages.
This is indeed a golden opportunity for Persian to English or English to Persian translation experts. This is some extra cash that will go a long way into promoting different literature from different regions of the world.
