Hebrew language can be a little intimidating but this is a language that is still largely spoken and read in many places. This is perhaps the oldest language ever spoken and written down, so its alphabets are restricted and have zero leverage for modernity. However, this language can become extra hard when you are trying to translate it for a legal document. While translating Hebrew to any other language can be a normal task for the experienced translator, a new translator will need a lot of help.
The best way to approach any Hebrew legal translation services is by making sure you understand what you are doing. As this is a very old language there are a few flaws and a few quirks that you need to focus on before you can begin translating it. As this language has no vowels, you need to be careful about what you are translating. For example, if you are translating Hebrew to English, you need to look for words that include:
There is no official word for “newspaper” or even “coffee” in Hebrew language.
This means that Hebrew does not have words for many of our modern legal jargon. Also, while translating legal quantities like dates, years, percentages or scores, you need to pay special attention to how the numbers are presented. In Hebrew, 5 is written as “ה” and 8 is written as “ח.” They are often confused for one another. Similarly, 30 “ל” and 200 “ר” are most often taken for one another because they appear quite similar in Hebrew.
The value “0” has no Hebrew word, so when you are translating quantities, make sure you know the proper depiction of units and hundreds, because, although, Hebrew does not have an exact representation of “0”, the quantities made up by “0” have proper words and depiction.
To this date, Hebrew is still spoken and written as the official language of Israel. With the passage of time, many new words are added to Hebrew language. As it is still has a huge similarity to Arabic, people are starting to notice it more and give it some due importance. Language translation services allow you to have Hebrew translated in a more efficient manner.
Plus, human translation services allow you to understand the translated versions of these legal documents in a better way. As Hebrew is a very difficult language, having it translated by a human translator is very important.
